Event Updates

Pitch Community,

We are pleased to share that Pitch Music & Arts will be returning for our eighth iteration in March 2025. Our home in Grampian Plains will once again transform into a rhapsody of creativity & connection.

We can’t wait to reveal what we’ve been working on over the coming weeks (including our favourite music and arts programme to date).

In our endeavour to be more transparent and proactive with our communication, we’d like to address some of the meaningful steps since our 2024 edition.

Our reflections on last year’s event have now evolved into actioning our learnings. Whilst there are elements beyond our influence (such as weather conditions), we’ve been focusing our attention on aspects that are within our control.

We remain immensely grateful to everyone who provided feedback and showed us grace through the refund process; your input has been invaluable in helping Pitch return better than ever.

Bushfire Safety

In response to last year's unprecedented conditions, we’ve engaged a bushfire behavioural specialist. Their insights and recommendations have been included as part of our existing comprehensive emergency management plans. These plans have been carefully reviewed by relevant stakeholders.

Communication

Connectivity >

In an increasingly digital age, we believe that festivals offer a powerful opportunity for authentic human connection. While we invite everyone to fully immerse themselves in the festival experience and disconnect from the outside world, we also understand the importance of being able to contact home if needed.

In light of this, we’ll be improving Wi-Fi coverage, adding additional Wi-Fi access points and introducing measures to improve cellular connectivity.

Communication >

We’ve been dedicating our efforts to elevating our on ground communication processes to a higher standard, ensuring essential information flows accurately and effectively between our staff and People of Pitch.

As part of these efforts, we will be introducing a campground speaker system, enabling us to promptly communicate any critical updates to all attendees simultaneously.

Safety & Wellbeing
We’ll be enhancing our harm reduction initiatives, helper hubs, and crowd care measures. As always, all medical and emergency services will be present throughout the festival.

Enhanced Patron Comfort
We’re improving the festival experience in many ways, from expanding shaded areas to increasing water and ice stations, adding more misters and enhancing the comfort in our chill zones.

Transport Options

Vehicle Travel >

For the first time this year, you will be able to pre-organise your car pass & tickets for your group from the initial on sale with a Festival & Vehicle Pass Package.

Bus & Train Travel >

Our usual bus pass from Melbourne CBD will return and remains our recommended form of travel to Pitch. Bus passes from Ararat station to the festival will also return with increased services, for People of Pitch who find train travel more convenient.

Music, Arts & Experiences

The Pitch organism by nature will always evolve, as will the core elements embedded in the festival’s fabric, such as our esteemed programming, world-class stages and immersive experiences.

We’re confident you’ll share our enthusiasm & look forward to sharing more details very (very) soon.

Ballot & Ticket Information

The Ballot process returns this year, after being warmly welcomed by the Pitch community back in 2022. Enter here to unlock ticket access & remain up to date with event information.

If you attended Pitch 2024 but a friend purchased your ticket, you may not receive our emails. We encourage you to reach out to the person who purchased your ticket if you wish to receive information dedicated to Pitch 2024 ticket holders.

We’d like to once again express our sincerest gratitude for your continued support.

From all of us here at Pitch, we’re eagerly counting down to dancing with you again.

With love,
The Pitch Music & Arts Team
